IRG's "Pushing the Envelope" Increases Recoveries
Insurance Recovery Group's litigation team successfully expanded the legal definition of "knowledge" for a pre-existing injury or disease in order to achieve reimbursement for a major non-profit organization in Massachusetts. IRG also utilized the knowledge and skills of a doctor trained in second injury fund issues to prove that awareness of high blood pressure is awareness of pre-existing heart disease. IRG's efforts resulted in $1,200,000 of recovery.

Candace LaChapelle Elected to NYCA Board of Directors
Insurance Recovery Group is pleased to announce that Candace LaChapelle, IRG's Director of Business Development, has been elected to the Board of Directors for the New York Claims Association (NYCA). The NYCA was established in 1914 and is the oldest organization of its kind, concentrating on workers' compensation and no-fault insurance. The membership of the NYCA consists of leading insurance carriers, self-insured's, third-party administrators and providers.
